Resident Program
Objective
During your training in the Department of Operative Dentistry at Tohoku University Hospital, you will be assigned to a patient and will be involved in all aspects of conservative dentistry. The students will work together with a supervisor to ensure that they master the entire range of conservative treatment through pre-treatment planning and post-treatment feedback.
Training program
Not only aiming to improve the skill of outpatient treatment during the training period through model training once a week, but also for root canal treatment using a microscope, aesthetic restoration, etc. for the future life of a dentist. You will be exposed to a high level of conservative treatment using state-of-the-art equipment and knowledge.
We invite the instructors (clinical professors and part-time instructors in this field) who are active as specialists in Japan and overseas to share their knowledge on the current and future developments in their respective field.
Graduate program
Objective
In dental treatment by the medical system in charge of outpatients, in addition to daily use of equipment such as surgical microscopes, lasers, nickel titanium files, etc., we also provide optimal medical treatment for patients by coordinating with each specialized outpatient clinic.
In addition, by applying "research centering on hypothetical thinking", which is the axis of graduate education in this field, to clinical practice, we will discuss our own clinical course and establish a solid foundation for our own treatment through case studies and topic presentations.
By the time you complete the graduate school, you will be able to obtain a doctor degree which is certified by the Japanese Society for Conservation of Dentistry.
